A tenor saxophone like this is becoming more and more difficult to find in great condition. This is an absolutely Fantastic Sounding and Playing Selmer Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone which appears to potentially be a factory re lacquer. The engravings are quite crisp and the Cellulose lacquer color on it is beautiful and time period correct, but it is possible that it isn’t original and has been re done at the Selmer Factory. The serial number 29XXX places the approximate year of production to 1940 in Paris France. The neck has suffered some mild pull down in the past but it has been properly and professionally repaired and restored to the angle and internal dimensions that the neck should have. It plays with a very full and rich sound with good ergonomics and great intonation throughout the entire range. The pads are in great sealing condition and it will be given a full COA (clean oil adjust) before it is delivered to its new owner included in the price. If you would prefer we do a complete overhaul on it that is also an available option which would cost extra and have a wait time.
