Saxophone fans, check out this gorgeous Selmer Mark VI alto we just got in for sale! This horn is a 106xxx serial number Mark VI dating back to 1963, hand-made in Paris, France, and ordered with a custom high F# key. It features classic American engraving and retains so much of its original beautiful dark cellulose lacquer—WOW! The lush floral engraving pops beautifully on this one. Overall, this alto is very, very clean. There is little to no lacquer wear aside from the commonly handled areas. The original, serial-number-matching neck is free from pulldown or damage, and the bottom bow is dent-free. The horn seals well as is with its current mix of older and newer pads, but if you’d like a full overhaul from our shop, add $1,500 to the price. These early six-digit altos are some of our favorites in the shop, with an amazing sound and a fantastic blend of projection and that rich, dark Selmer core.
