Saxophone fans, check out this rare tenor that just came in! This is a Selmer "New Large Bore" tenor with a serial number in the 10xxx range, dating back to 1929. Because so few of these horns were made—and because they're becoming increasingly difficult to find—it's rare to see one, especially in such excellent condition. This example was relacquered quite some time ago, but it has since aged into a beautiful patina. It just came off the bench after receiving a full overhaul in our shop and now seals perfectly from top to bottom. These are some of the best-sounding tenor saxophones Selmer ever made, blending the robust, powerful American sound with the dark, lush character of French made saxophone.
