Saxophone fans, check out this alto that just came in for sale at our shop! This is a 140xxx serial number Mark VI that dates back to 1967 where it was hand made in Paris, France. The serial number of this alto places it in the famous David Sanborn serial range! This horn had previously suffered from some serious water damage but was brought back to life by our shop with a full extensive overhaul/restoration. We chose to the strip the remaining lacquer on this from a previously done relacquer down to bare brass. We then hand polished the brass to get a lot of the corrosion from water off but there are some deeply engrained red colorations that give it a really unique look! The original neck has suffered a bit of pull down in its lifetime but was professionally repaired by our shop to the correct angle and shape. This horn is free from major denting and has a clean bottom bow. This horn needs absolutely nothing and it now plays and seals exactly as it should. Don't miss your chance to get a Sanborn serial number Mark VI for a great price like this one!
