Saxophone fans, check out this killer Mark VI alto that just came in for sale! This is a 194xxx serial number Mark VI alto, placing its production in early 1972. It’s American-engraved with a significant amount of its original lacquer still intact. While it has seen some playing time, it’s been very well maintained and is in excellent overall condition. There’s a small dent in the bottom bow, intentionally left to preserve the original lacquer. Other than that, there’s no major cosmetic damage. The original neck shows no signs of pull-down or other damages. This horn has an older but well functioning set of pads that were meticulously checked through by our shop to ensure they are sealing perfectly! This alto needs nothing and is ready for gigging! These later Mark VI altos are, in our opinion, among the best-sounding horns out there. They deliver a powerful sound with a perfect balance of projection and the rich, dark Selmer core tone that players love.
