Saxophone fans, check out this great tenor that just arrived in the shop! This is a 289xxx Selmer Mark VII dating back to 1979, when it was handmade in Paris, France. This horn is non-engraved and retains a good amount of its original lacquer. There is some normal wear from years of use, which has resulted in a beautiful patina. The original neck previously showed signs of pull-down but has since been professionally corrected and restored to its proper angle. The bottom bow has had some dent repair in its lifetime, but overall it’s looking great. This tenor was recently given a full overhaul by Boston Sax Shop. After a quick once-over by our shop, it’s sealing perfectly from top to bottom! The Mark VIIs were designed to be more accessible to all hand sizes with the large left hand pinky table, oversized right hand pinky keys and a large high F# key. This tenor has no shortage of the Selmer sound and at a fraction of the price of a Mark VI!
