Just into our shop is this beautiful Selmer Balanced Action alto!
This is a 29xxx serial number putting its date of manufacture in 1940. This horn is in stunning cosmetic condition for its age. It is free of any major denting or scratching. The problematic areas are very clean on this horn, no pulldown or signs of pulldown in the neck and the bottom bow remains dent free.
This horn has an older relacquer on it judging by its beautiful dark honey color. However, the engraving remains quite crisp including its iconic "lake scene" engraving on the front of the bell.
