Saxophone fans, check out this amazing Selmer Super Balanced Action alto we just got in! This is a 33xxx serial number Super Balanced Action, dating back to the first year of production in 1947. We believe this SBA alto to be original silver plate. The G# pearl is original from Selmer, the top engraved ridge on the receiver is very crisp, two telling signs of originality. The engraving was likely done first and then was plated over, explaining why its shallow and lacks sharpness. This alto is in amazing condition for its age! The bottom bow is free from denting, and the original neck is free from pull-down or other damage. This horn came to us in recently overhauled condition, and after a quick check-through, it is sealing and playing amazingly. It is rare to see a silver-plated SBA in such great shape! These Selmers have some of the best sounds out there, and this horn is certainly no exception!
