Wow, calling all saxophone fans and collectors! Check out this gorgeous Selmer Super Balanced Action tenor that just went up for sale at our shop! The 54xxx serial number dates it back to 1954 where it was hand made in Paris, France. This tenor is one of most desired range of Super Balanced actions with the Mark VI single piece bell key guard and the mix of Mark VI engraving combined with SBA. So much of this tenor's original dark cellulose lacquer remains. The American engraving on the front of the bell that stretches down to the bow is stunning and some of Selmer's best engraving work! This tenor just received a full overhaul from our shop and is sealing like a drum and playing perfectly. These tenors are some of the most beautiful sounding Selmers made. It has elements of the Mark VI but is still deeply rooted in the Super Balanced Action sound territory creating a truly unique one of a kind blowing horn.
