Saxophone fans, check out this rare Dukoff BD Hollywood mouthpiece!
Finding Bob Dukoff mouthpieces is getting harder and harder these days. This particular BD Hollywood is a gem after being professionally worked on by Kirill Poudavoff. This is one of the more even desirable ones because of the single piece design rather than 2 piece cast. In addition, the chamber of this one is slightly squeezed and provides lots of focus while still being really spread and dark.
These Dukoff Hollywood mouthpieces were manufactured in the 1940’s. Their large round chamber, scooped side walls, and roll-over baffle help generate some serious power but without losing the core of the sound. These pieces play like a really good Otto Link featuring just the right balance of edge and spread Dexter Gordon fat-ness!
