Wow, saxophone fans—we are very fortunate to see another absolutely gorgeous horn come through our shop. Check out this Selmer Mark VI alto that just went up for sale. This is another alto that is incredibly clean. It looks practically brand new, and the pearls are still sharp to the touch. This is a 114xxx serial number alto dating back to early 1964, when it was handmade in Paris, France, and assembled and engraved in America. The original serial numbered–matching neck is in absolutely phenomenal condition and with no pulldown or signs of previous pulldown. The body is free from any dents, dings, or resolders. There is hardly any lacquer wear, with the exception of commonly handled areas like the palm keys. The original nitrocellulose dark honey lacquer looks truly incredible, with 98%+ remaining. This alto is nearly all factory original—the pads, resonators, and even the felts are original from the Selmer factory. Because of the lacquer overspray on the pads, it seals quite well. The listed price is for the alto as-is in its original condition. Add $1,500 to include a full overhaul from our shop (an $1,800–$2,000 value) making the final price $9500.
