Saxophone fans, have a look at this amazing Selmer tenor that just went up for sale at our shop! You might recognize this from our 'Coming Soon...' section of the website. This is a 27xxx Balanced Action tenor that dates back to 1937 where it was hand made in Paris, France. This Balanced Action, like most other tenors from this period, has been relacquered. This was likely a Selmer factory or Selmer affiliate relacquer job as it was done very well quite some time ago. The color has aged beautifully and the STUNNING engraving hasn't been buffed too heavily. This tenor features the iconic lush Selmer floral engraving surrounding the mountain scene on the front of the bell. The original neck is free from pull down and the bottom bow clean from denting or other damage. This BA just came off the bench from a full overhaul at our shop. At some point in its life the original Selmer left thumb pearl rest and right hand thumb hook were replaced by what appear to be Mark VI parts, making this BA very ergonomically comfortable and unique. There were a few small professionally addressed re-solders done by our shop on the low C key guard feet and bell brace. Otherwise, this tenor is in incredible condition for its age. These are some of the best sounding Selmer tenors ever made and this one is certainly no exception. Don't pass up on this one!
