Saxophone fans, check out this amazing saxophone that just came in for sale! Baritone saxophone titan Gary Smulyan has decided to part ways with one of his Conn baritones and has chosen our shop to sell it through. Gary played Conns for many years and this is one of few that has been in regular rotation throughout his entire career! This transitional baritone is in overall good condition for its age. The serial number of this horn dates it back to 1932 where it was made in Elkhart, Indiana. There are a few dents in the body tube of the instrument that in no way effect the playability of the horn. The bottom bow rooster is free from any major denting and the original neck is free from pull down or other signs of damage. This is a Chu Berry model transitional as seen by the iconic 'nail file' G# key. Additionally, this Conn has rolled tone holes which is the more desired configuration in these horns. The pads are a mix of older and newer pads that after a comb through by our shop are all sealing great! This baritone has both the bell keys on the front side and has the 12M shaped palm keys, both transitional elements between the two models. This horn has an unbelievable sound and was for many years used by truly one of the best baritones players on the planet. Don't miss your opportunity to own this piece of baritone saxophone history!
